key factor in publishing or sharing research and research outputs is being able to credit contributors in a transparent and clear way. Scientific computing research roles and tasks are complex and not well suited to be described by existing taxonomies, like CReDiT. I propose to start an interest- or working group to work on 1) developing a new taxonomy complementary to existing efforts but specific to open science computational research, and 2) to interact and collaborate with established taxonomy efforts for harmonization.
